With the 12 emblems of religions (zodiac signs they seem, but not possibly apostles?) presented in the IEC logo, only the Cross is a Christian symbol. Even then, without the Crucified Messiah (Crucifix which is identified with Catholicity), the Cross is more of a Protestant representation. Protestant sects and denominations desired to be labeled as "Christians", better yet as the "true Christians".
Very well, the logo is perfect—in perfect circle. In it are the emblems and corresponding labels of different religions, some of which are not even known to me at this age of mine at sixty-one. The logo projects a perfect representation of equality of ALL religions. It perfectly symbols the “One World-One World Religion” that has long been flaunting around, which is heretic, anti-Catholic, and Masonic in origin.
It’s a perfect welcome to ALL religions which are often opposed to one another in faith and in morals, embracing without discrimination ALL people, whether worthy or unworthy, good-willed or perverts, saintly or blasphemers, blessed or damned to partake the Holy Eucharist.
I cannot reconcile the avowed “Eucharistic logo” with my Catholic sensibilities. The Apostle St. Paul succinctly said: “Whoever eats the bread or drinks the cup of the Lord unworthily will have to answer for the body and blood of the Lord. A person should examine himself, and so eat the bread and drink the cup. For anyone who eats and drinks without discerning the body, eats and drinks judgment on himself” (1 Corinthians 11:27-29).
Hence, it’s a scandal even for Catholics who belong to the same Church—the mystical body of Christ—to approach and partake of the Eucharist when one is in a state of mortal sin, that is, not in a worthy state of grace.
Perhaps I would just shrug it off if they—whoever are behind this logo—use it in some other gatherings of social and civil in nature. Let them explore the functions of diplomacy, solidarity, brotherhood, and what-have-you. But never with the sacred Eucharist.
The Eucharist is the very core of Catholic faith, the center and summit of Christian living. This faith in the Eucharist cannot be changed, modified, modernized, altered, or paganized by anyone in the Church, not even by the Pope!
Done under the guise of “mercy, ecumenism,” and sweet talks, such is detestable. It’s an abomination. Clearly blasphemous and heretical.
The Eucharist is the Body-Blood-Soul-Divinity, the Real Presence, of the Lord Jesus Christ who redeemed and saved ONLY those who profess faith in HIM ALONE. The grace has been freely given through the Eucharistic Sacrifice on the Cross in Calvary. There we look up to HIM ALONE as the Crucified Messiah.
But there is a good news. The IEC logo created here in the Philippines by a Cebuano needs no explaining; and that, apologists don't need to rationalize nor justify it for it is rendered quite plain and simple, not confusing. Yet, it captures the essence of such a historic Eucharistic event which started in France in 1881 as a fruit of the Eucharistic apostolate of Saint Peter-Julian Eymard, “the apostle of the Eucharist”. Unlike the one from Vatican: the more you look at it, the more it becomes horrific. It must be condemned.
